How far in advance must I notify FUNDAE of a group's start or changes?

For company-programmed training in 2026, SEPE's resolution (BOE-A-2025-25790, Article 4) sets these deadlines:

  • Start of each group: the start notification must be made at the latest 2 days before the group's start date. FUNDAE's website describes it as "at least 2 calendar days before", stating when, where, who teaches and who it is for.
  • Cancellations and changes: cancelling a group, or changing its details where this means a change of time, date of delivery or location, must in all cases be notified 1 day before the planned start date.
  • If the change moves the start date, FUNDAE requires 2 calendar days between notifying the change and the new start. Other changes can be notified up to the start day itself. Once the course has started, changes are reported as justified incidents, and SEPE decides whether to accept them.

What happens if you miss a deadline. If notification is not made in time, the group is treated as "no realizado" (not delivered) for funding purposes. The only exception is a delay caused by unforeseeable circumstances that are properly justified and reported when they occur.

Other dates worth putting in your calendar:

  • Informing workers' legal representatives: they have 15 working days to respond; after that, the company can start whether or not they have responded.
  • Keep the documentation for funded training for four years, according to FUNDAE.

Practical tip: notify the start with margin and note each group's deadline for changes. A last-minute time change that is not notified in time can make that group ineligible for the discount.

These deadlines are set every year; check the resolution in force.
