Can a course delivered in a virtual classroom be funded by FUNDAE? 2026 requirements

Yes. For company-programmed training in 2026, SEPE's resolution of 25 November 2025 (BOE-A-2025-25790, published 16 December 2025) allows in-person training to be delivered through a virtual classroom (aula virtual). A live class by video conference therefore counts as in-person, not as e-learning, if it meets these requirements:

1. Synchronous and two-way. Trainer and participants must be together in real time, with direct communication in both directions. A recorded video does not count. 2. Connection log. The virtual classroom application must produce a log that identifies, for each training action, the participants and their connection dates and times. 3. Access for control bodies. There must be a way for the control bodies to connect during the class to carry out monitoring. 4. Self-declaration only as an exception. If the tool cannot produce that log, participation can exceptionally be proven with a signed declaration (declaración responsable) from each participant (see the separate question). 5. Content and objectives must be delivered, and the use of a virtual classroom must be stated when notifying the start of the group.

Bimodal format. Part of the group can be in a physical room while others join at the same time by virtual classroom. This must be stated in the start notification and carries no extra cost compared with in-person training.

General rules also apply: deadlines for start notifications and changes, attendance control (FUNDAE's free Firmasistencia app can be used) and, generally, 75% attendance to complete the course.

These measures are renewed every year. Before planning 2027 courses, check the new resolution. Meeting the technical requirements helps but does not guarantee funding.
